Axelent Engineering was founded in 1972 under the name Hestra Mekaniska. The company built specialist machinery for local industries. Through its widespread commitment to customer projects, Hestra Mekaniska soon became well known for its smart and unique machine solutions for more efficient production.
In 2005, the company name was changed from Hestra Mekaniska to Hestra Automation.
Company acquisition leads to name change
Following a collaboration with Axelent AB, in which Hestra Automation manufactured a customer-specific automation solution for Axelent's mesh panels, Axelent saw the potential. The acquisition went on to play a vital role in the Axelent Group’s continued development.
The focus shifts from individual machines to complete automation solutions. The first step in becoming a complete knowledge company in product development is taken and is given the name Axelent Engineering.
PLM and Complete Design is added
The business is flourishing, new skills are being added and new offices are opened to accommodate a highly differentiated flora of industrial customers. A partnership begins with one of the largest suppliers of PLM solutions on the market; Dassault Systèmes. From here on, Axelent Engineering can also offer powerful support within PLM, such as CATIA, 3DVIA, DELMIA AND ENOVIA.
Through the acquisition of Innoqlura AB in Huskvarna 2013, the company could now offer services in product development, project management, industrial design and surface design.
